KChat is a real desktop app with its own database inside. There is no cloud copy of anything you type or upload.

  • Chats.

    Every conversation, stored in a database that runs inside the app, on your laptop.

  • Files.

    PDFs, Word, Excel, scanned pages. Kept in the app's own folder on your disk, not on a server.

  • Memory.

    What KChat remembers about you and your work. Stored locally. Yours to read, edit and delete.

Locked by your disk encryption. FileVault on Mac, BitLocker on Windows. Your sign-in lives in the system keychain. We host none of your content, so there is nothing of yours for us to leak.

Across the line

One request goes out. Nobody keeps it.

To answer, KChat has to send your question to a model. That is the only thing that ever crosses the line, and it crosses on strict terms.

  1. Your laptop sends the question.

    Plus the context that answer needs: the current chat, a file you attached, a memory that applies. Nothing else. Not your other chats, not your library.

  2. Our gateway checks your plan.

    It knows who you are and how much you have used this month. It counts words. It never stores what you said or what came back.

  3. The model answers and forgets.

    We only use providers under zero data retention. Your request is processed in memory, answered, and gone. No logs. No training on your data.
